Larkin has spent her entire career in food systems and the non-profit world in both urban and rural areas, doing community nutrition and garden education, philanthropy, program development, and in leadership roles. She grew up in Fabius and attended SUNY Geneseo for college. She received a master’s in Agriculture, Food & the Environment and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Tufts University. She started her career in Extension in 2015 at CCE Steuben, before finding a home at CCE Madison County in 2021. Larkin believes deeply in building strong rural communities with thriving farms, vibrant food systems, and healthy, happy youth and families.
