The Farmland Protection Board works to protect and foster agriculture in Madison County by assessing agricultural issues facing the County and establishing actionable goals to address these issues. In 2020 the Farmland Protection Board, with assistance from other organizations including Madison County CCE, prepared and adopted an updated Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan, the first since 2005.
